When the Neopets Metaverse game is released, our precious NFTs will have functional in-game utilities. Craft your own items, create your own Lands, and be a part of Neopets history in a way never before possible with our exclusive NFTs. Neopets Metaverse and Neopets.com both take place in Neopia, but that Neopia is a parallel universe instead of a one-to-one replica. The separate Neopias will exist as a multiverse-like system, so everything that happens in the Neopets Metaverse won’t necessarily affect what’s happening on Neopets.com, but occasionally there could be crossover events. Much of the sequencing will differ from the exact story sequencing of Neopets.com; this gives us a lot more flexibility and creativity in introducing story elements into the Metaverse and is also why community members can contribute to the development of the plot.
Neopets Metaverse is determined to be environmentally conscious and to implement our project sustainably. Whether that looks like utilizing a blockchain that is less energy-intensive or buying carbon credits, our ideal scenario is operating with a carbon-neutral methodology.
Yes! As mentioned previously in mentioning our NFT's value, Neopets Metaverse NFTs will have in-game functional utilities within Neopets Metaverse. You can click here for more info about Neopets Metaverse Collection and Pizzaroo's Unique Pizzas.
You don’t need to hold any NFT to access the game. You’ll have up to three Neopets as a base starting point. They might come with some starter pack items, but if you want to customize them with nice clothing or accessories, you can play the game and earn the resources to craft your items.
Genesis Neopians are our allowlisted members. You must join our Discord and have one of our NFTs within your Solana wallet (which must also be unlisted from NFT marketplaces) to verify via Grape and be given the Genesis Neopian role.
As Neopets Metaverse expands, Genesis Neopians will be able to enjoy...
- Access to the allowlist of our token offering
- Access to the allowlists of future NFTs, which will consist of wearables for Neopets, decorations for Neohomes, Land NFTs, and more!
- Airdrops of tokens and/or NFTs that could be used as in-game items during the game’s development.
- Exclusive in-game utility for NMC NFTs. This includes using them as a displayable, in-game avatar that will be exhibited in gameplay (battle, mini-games, etc.).
- A displayable badge of honor for being an early supporter.
- Early access to available game modes before public releases.
Everyone will be able to access their Neohome. Eventually, we will be introducing a land system to Neopets Metaverse. The Neohome will exist on a plot of land in Neopia. The land system would be based on NFTs; each parcel of land would be an NFT, but you would not need to own a plot of land to access your Neohome, which will not be an NFT.
Private Alpha will launch in August 2022, and public alpha will launch in Q4 2022. In 2023 and beyond, we will launch our public beta. Click here for info about our project timeline.
Neopets Metaverse is free-to-play, so if Neopians desire to play the game without engaging in economic activities, they can feel free to do so. Alternatively, we would like you to know that it is also Play-and-earn, so if YOU PLAY, YOU EARN! Neopians may participate in mini-games, battles, and economic activities. A bonus will be waiting for you to collect while playing the game.
Neopets Metaverse is independent and separate from Neopets.com. We are currently drafting the best way to share some of the upsides with the Neopets team and to help build together. We believe the success of the Neopets Metaverse can contribute to the success of the Neopets.com classic site.
